Consider the boiler suit.
Thirty minutes. Thirty minutes of individuality, freedom and imagination. The youngest of three siblings at prep school, Lennon-Smith Minimus pulled on her boiler suit and became whatever she wanted to be. House of Minimus wants to take that thirty minutes and make it a philosophy of life. Be yourself, be independent, follow your passion and allow yourself to dream. Innocence.
Two decades on from prep school and what a journey. Life is complicated – unexpected highs, crazy lows – but it is what shapes us. Experience.
Innocence plus Experience equals Magic.
That’s how the House of Minimus was born and its hero piece, the boiler suit, became a symbol of embracing unlimited possibilities. Drawing on your past and inking your future. The boiler suit, which will be referred to as a canvas, represents life, creativity and the freedom for the wearer to throw as much paint on it as they wish – colouring outside the lines and creating whatever causes a revolution in their heart.
Be who you want to be. Do what you want to do. And never forget. As Picasso once said, “Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once they grow up.”
Whatever your age, we believe there’s a free spirit in all of us. Our boiler suit is your blank canvas, and yours alone. Our badges, your inspiration. The world, your playground. Unlock the door to your imagination, and join us on an amazing journey.
Functional, honest and timeless, the classic boiler suit – or canvas, as we prefer to call it - is the heart and soul of the House of Minimus. Made in Italy from 100% cotton, our children’s, women’s and men’s versions come in two fabrics – a classic twill or a lighter, more relaxed canvas weave – and four colours, each with its own story to tell: Pinewood Blue, Liddington White, Ashdown Black and Chica Pink. The canvases are dyed and washed using an artisanal method, which makes each one very slightly different. Beautifully tailored by our design team for an ultra-flattering fit, our canvases are as robust and hard-wearing as they are striking, and are crafted down to the last detail to withstand whatever adventures you might take them on over the years.
With your help and support, House of Minimus is hoping to raise £5,000 for Heads Together, a mental health programme of The Royal Foundation (registered charity number 1132048).
